Steven and his artist wife Amy Córdova Boone moved to Oaxaca, Mexico in 2019. They produce artwork from their studio: called Dos Venados

Steven is an award winning author, and his writing has appeared in various publications. His blog, My Fairy Tale Life, chronicles his life, travels, observations, musings, and philosophy, including photographs. Currently there are over 800 posts spanning nineteen years.

Amy and Steven share home and studio in Oaxaca, Mexico. Amy has a long and celebrated career in the arts and has illustrated over 20 children's books. See her work here: Amy Córdova Boone.

A Heart Traced In Sand was written over the course of three years and published after the death of Steven's oldest daughter Naomi, who died at nineteen. The book won two awards and is a deeply moving tribute to courage, steadfastness, and the love they shared.

Steven is an accomplished photographer. He makes his own prints using a state-of-the-art wide format printer that can print on canvas as well as paper. His photos have been used on book covers in France and Spain. His photo website is Graphixshoot.
